FEET CARE
Make sure your feet are well moisturized. Powder your feet whenever they are exposed to long periods of being in closed shoes. For cracked heels use a foot cream at night and sleep with cotton socks. Do visit a pedicurist or a chiropodist if you have any of the following: corns, in grown toenails, athletes' foot, warts or calluses. Give your feet a regular once a week pedicure leading up to the big day. Here's an easy way to do a pedicure at home.
Squeeze some soap gel into a tub filled with warm water and soak your feet for 1/2 hour. Next use a pumice stone to gently remove dead skin. Soak for some more time, then remove feet from the water and towel dry. Massage a thick layer of moisturizing cream all over your feet, right up to the ankle. Use a stick to clean nails and buff them. Trim nails straight across and file around corners to avoid ingrowths.

MEHINDI
The application of Mehindi in our culture is a sign of a joyous occasion. Mehindi being applied at weddings used to be a small family affair with a handful of close family friends being invited to a small function at home a day or so before the wedding. Ready-made Mehindi is readily available from most shops, you can also buy ready made stencils to help you apply it. So here is a step by step method of making and applying henna:
  • Fill half a cup of natural ground henna powder. You can also add Tea, coffee, cloves, lemon and sugar to enhance the colors and give a deeper shade, which will stay on for much longer.
  • Add a small amount of boiling water to the bowl along with a few drops of Jasmine oil and mix until the paste it is similar in consistency as toothpaste.
  • You can use almost anything to apply the mehindi, depending on the intricacy of your design, but the most commonly used are toothpicks.
  • About 3 hours is a decent length of time for allowing the mehindi paste to settle on your skin.
  • You can also apply lemon juice with sugar to keep the paste on your skin for longer and not let it flake away.
  • Once dried simply flake off the dried mehindi, but do not wash the applied area for at least 12 hours.

Its very important for a bride to have soft hair for hair. If your hair is dry and has split ends, just trim it to get the good look.
